Dhanakosa Buddhist Retreat Centre offers a wide range of retreats including yoga, hillwalking, Tai Chi, arts and alternative health themes, all complementing a programme of introductory meditation teaching; these retreats are open to anyone.
In addition to this there is a programme of meditation and Buddhist study retreats designed for those with a more regular practice. These retreats are specifically designed to help people develop their practice of Buddhism and meditation.
Dhanakosa is a part of the Triratna Buddhist Community, a worldwide movement which aims to make Buddhist teachings and practices available in a way that is appropriate to the modern world.
The centre is set in its own 16 acre grounds complete with gorge waterfalls and ancient woodland, situated on the tranquil shores of Loch Voil in the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park. This magnificent setting provides ideal conditions for retreats.
