Dhanakosa relies on donations to be able to run retreats. This system of generosity works well and is greatly appreciated by many who visit Dhanakosa. One way in which you can contribute is through setting up a regular standing order.
Standing order donations can help us by:
- Enabling us to keep our suggested donations at a reasonable level for all
- Giving us confidence to encourage the genuinely less well-off to come to Dhanakosa
- Providing resources to help us continue to develop and improve our facilities.
A big thank you to all our regular standing order donors who help us to make this happen.
One of our fundraising targets has been to increase our standing order donations by £10,000 over the last two years. We have had a very positive response and you can read more about this on our appeals update page. As you will see our fundraising focus is currently our building project.
Dhanakosa Building Project 2011- We would like to make Dhanakosa a more comfortable and relaxing place for you to come on retreat and, with your help, we are planning some big changes this year (Nov '11). These changes, although costly, we feel, will benefit us all. The main issues we are hoping to address through this building project are: overcrowding in Room 9, making the 'quiet room' a bit quieter and providing better provision for people with mobility problems.
However, this is not going to be cheap. We are estimating £75,000 for the total cost, with £50,000 of this coming from current reserves. To this we hope to add £15,000 from retreat income whilst raising an additonal £10,000 from donations. This is where you come in! This additional £10,000 on top of our current target is going to take some work but it will be worth every penny, as we will be greatly improving Dhanakosa's facilities for future visitors for many year's to come.
If you would like to contribute to our building project or to Dhanakosa in general, it's very easy. You can set up a standing order donation by following our link below to find a printable standing order form. You can then complete it and post it back to us. Alternatively, if you would like to make a one-off donation, you can give us a ring, pop a cheque in the post or make a donation towards the project whilst here on retreat.
Many thanks, your generosity is what makes Dhanakosa all that it is.
If you would like to speak to someone about making a donation or have questions about our fundraising, give us a ring (number below) or send an email to Jane.
