support through coronavirus

Our practice of the Dharma is vital during these times of uncertainty and suffering. It’s essential to resource and support ourselves and one another through our practice of metta, mindfulness and compassionate connection.

The retreat centre re-opened with limited numbers and increased hygiene measures in Septmeber. After two months of successfully running retreats we have sadly closed our doors again for November. We are hoping to be able to resume retreats again soon for people from Tier 2 areas and below. Please check our 2021 calendar and get in touch to book or be added to a waiting list.

We've created an online resource of Dharma talks, meditation teaching and yoga sessions, to keep us all inspired and connected through this difficult time. These talks and teachings are offered by many of our familiar teaching team. These are offered freely, if you would like to donate to support us please do so here.

Monthly Half Day Retreats

In November we are launching a programme of monthly half-day retreats. The retreats will run on a Wednesday morning. Please arrive by 10.15am to allow time for arriving, saying hello, settling in and making sure our devices are well adjusted for an optimal experience. Then at 10.30 we'll start the retreat. This will include a led meditation, a short presentation and the opportunity to meet in small groups (3's or 4's) to share experiences and formulate questions for later. There will be a ten minute break as we approach halfway but also please close your eyes and take it easy if you start getting screen fatigue at any time. We can start winding up at 12.45 and finish by 1pm.

November 11th with Smritiratna: The Green Buddha: Appreciative Mindfulness in Troubled Times

Donate to Dhanakosa

Dhanakosa runs on donations, allowing people to come on retreat whatever their financial circumstance. We are continuing to lose money throughout this period of Covid-19 as we have reduced the number of places on each retreat.  Although we recognise that many people are suffering financial hardship and want to keep retreats on a donations basis, if you are able to give please consider doing so.

We are confident that we will be here for you, whatever your financial circumstances.  If you do have financial resources you can share with us, that will help us share what we have with those who do not.

Please help support Dhanakosa by giving what you can.

Thank you.
