Anya

Anya Konefal began practising yoga at about 1998 in Lublin, Poland. Her first teacher, Leszek Mioduchowski, was trained in Iyengar yoga; his teachings are still a source of inspiration for Anya. In 2009 she became a member of the British Wheel of Yoga, and completed their training course for yoga teachers. She runs weekly classes in Norwich Buddhist Centre, workshops and weekend retreats in Norfolk and in the UK . She also teaches yoga on meditation retreats in Poland and the UK.

Yoga, for Anya, is a practice of developing awareness. Having a professional psychological background both enriches her yoga practice and gives her a deeper understanding of the role of relaxation in encouraging positive mental states.

yoga and meditation

These retreats combine introductory meditation teaching with yoga. The supportive atmosphere of the retreat allows us to develop and deepen both practices, and understand how the two augment each other.
