Candradhī has been practicing yoga for over 10 years, and completed her teacher training with Bodhiyoga in 2018. She teaches mindfulness based yoga which draws on both hatha yoga and buddhist principles, emphasizing the cultivation of a grounded and embodied approach and the development of somatic awareness both on the mat and in daily life. She mainly teaches on retreats, enjoying the depth and subtlety of practice that can be reached with the combined practice of yoga and meditation in a intensive context. Candradhi was ordained in the Triratna Buddhist Order in 2022. Both her personal yoga practice and her teaching style emphasise the spiritual dimension of yoga as a means towards greater clarity, openness, compassion and freedom.
Friday, 5 January 2024 to Sunday, 7 January 2024 2024
Join Amayaraja and Candradhi for a weekend of practice and connection with young Buddhists from across Scotland and beyond. During the retreat we will explore what it means to bring all of our energy onto the path, and how to navigate the seemingly tensions and polarities that face us, within and without, in our lives and the world. Peace and passion, engagement and withdrawal, self and world…
Through stories, meditation, discussion, and ritual we’ll explore what it means to live a creative life of practice using mythic imagery from the life of the Buddha.
Friday, 9 September 2022 to Friday, 16 September 2022 2022
Explore the Satipatthana, the Buddha's teaching on the direct path to awakening, by interweaving movement and stillness. Candradhi and Suryadarshini have both trained in Bodhiyoga, a yoga school founded on Buddhist principles, set up by Sadhita and Sudaka. On this retreat, we'll move seamlessly between physical postures and seated meditation, recognising each as a gateway to embodied awakening.
