Nayaka - Nayaka came to Dhanakosa in 1996 after learning to meditate with the Newcastle Buddhist Centre. Drawn by the mountains, he quickly felt at home here and became increasingly involved in the running of the centre. He became part of the management team in 1999, was ordained into the Western Buddhist Order in 2001 and became centre director in 2006. He has a background in earth and life sciences, has a long standing interest in natural history and a love of the wilderness.

Covid-19 update: We hope this retreat will be able to go ahead, however we cannot be clear how travel and social distancing guidance will evolve and what the effect of this will be on our ability to offer this retreat. We are therefore only taking bookings for a limited number of places on this retreat and limiting people to one retreat booking each during the period of restrictions so as to share out our resources as much as we can. Please be aware that we cannot guarantee being able to run this retreat. We'll be in touch 2-4 weeks ahead of the start date of the retreat to confirm whether it is going ahead.
